Shouvik (born on 10th July) is a 27 year young web programmer. He is believed to have over 8 years of extensive programming experience including Delphi, Visual Basic, Active Server Pages, Javascript and PHP and is most notable as the creator of websites such as OutlineMe, FocusInterview, CupidSystems and ResumeHype. He is the author of 2 jQuery plugins, jCloner and pwdMeter and also a Google Chrome extension.

Shouvik has authored award winning desktop applications in his early days of programming. He wrote an HTTP Web Server at the age of 21. It was featured and ranked 12th position at Netcraft Web Server Survey while comparing with other Web Server software available. He received numerous awards for it. Currently he is writing a book on Zend Framework (Freshman's Guide to Zend Framework).

Shouvik holds a Master of Computer Science degree and a Master of Computer Application degree from M.D.U.

Shouvik has been a web developer since the early years and has been actively involved in PHP / MySQL and Zend Projects. He is a hardcore Ubuntu Linux user and is fond of Open Source software. Not only that, but he is an active member at Linkedin's LinkedPHPers and PHP Developers Group and is a frequent PHP speaker there. His wonderful family, developing web apps, playing squash and searching for the perfect espresso keeps him happy.
